My name is Sunita. I have reached half a century of my life; and so far it has been a journy that I wouldn't do over! I have learned in the 25 years I have been living; not to have any regrets, anger or hatred towards anyone or anything. I am a young mother and wife that I love every minute of! I am adjusting myself to family life with my husband and kids. Tumblr is my extra-cirricular practice for my book soon-to be published. And when my diaries are published; there will be a lot expressed, narrated events in my life that I think that will influence or inspire some. I just can't wait!!

When I went to the doctor in New York one day, the doctor told me to go in for a Thyroid ultrasound. I told the doctor. “Is that really necessary?” My doctor was the best. He had his flaws like any other doctor. He was Jamaican “Chinese” and he was so down to earth. He never swuaded me into a wrong direction..but again…”Doctors have their flaws. :)
So I went to the ultrasound center in Brooklyn and did the ultrasound. The nurse told me, “We will send the results to your doctor and he will contact you.” I said no problem.
A week later; the Medical Assistant asked me to come in that evening. I replied to her, “I have classes tonight. I wouldn’t be able to miss my classes. May I come in tomorrow morning?” she hesitated, and then continued on, ” Will you be able to come in at 830?” I sighed. I thought about having to tell my boss I have to come in an hour late to work. He doesn’t like me being late, but he would have to understand. I continued on to tell her, “sure, no problem.”
The following morning, I woke up with my mamo and headed out with him walking to the train station. As we split off, him walking towards my job direction on Flatbush and I headed for the train to take it two stops down, I conteplated what would this doctor visit bring me today?
The doctor came in and was excited to give me the good news. I looked anxious had fear in my eyes..
“Ms. Ali. How are you? I have some decisions to make with you. You have hyperthyroids. Do you feel sometimes your appetite is off balance and you are gaining wieght inconsistencly? I tool a deep breathe, and answered him confusingly, “I guess. I know I sleep a lot and have a wierd diet schedule.” He told me that he is going to give me another ultrasound in a month, and determine if I should take medication. I was completly compliant with him, and left. The nurse gave me a appointment a month from that date, which was Easter weekend; 2005.
When I went in for my evaluation with Dr Chung; I had to take a urine analysis. The nurse came back to me, “mame, did you know you are pregnant?” /// I was paused by the news..I couldn’t believe it..I asked how..I took a deep breathe and said “uh?”///
